An impressive performance for Roma as they controlled much of the game and created a plethora of chances at goal.
Their only goal of the night came in the 41st minute as Jose Holebas’ cross was mal-controlled by Salih Ucan, but Daniel De Rossi was there to clean up the mess and push the ball past the keeper. A well deserved goal for the away side and the eventual 1-0 win.
Roma kept the pressure on and never stopped attacking, while Cesena never really had any clear chances to draw blood. Roma really deserved more goals in the match but they will be happy to take home all the points.
Roma are able to hold onto their place in the table for another week and at this point, they should not be worried about cutting Juventus’ 14 point lead, but holding on to their spot. Lazio are just one point behind Roma, which doesn’t give them much leeway for mistakes.
