We may be a little late on actually doing this since we had the Thursday night game, but it was a far fetched thought of having New Orleans lose to Atlanta. The game was close, but the Saints did just enough to beat out the Falcons. It’s the “W” that matters.

Today, we have some key match-ups that could shake up the standings.

BYES: Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-8) at Detroit Lions (6-4)

Lions fans will be quite glad to be one game closer to wrapping up the NFC North: Bucs 10-Lions 31

Minnesota Vikings (2-8) at Green Bay Packers (5-5)

Both Minnesota and Adrian Peterson haven’t had the nicest season, but I’ll bring this quote up, “any given Sunday”:

Vikings 24-Packers 20

Jacksonville Jaguars (1-9) at Houston Texans (2-8)

A fight between two dismal teams. One, not much of a surprise, one that just unraveled in front of our eyes. I’ll give this one to the Texans just for the fact that they have the better defense, the best in the league statistically. Doesn’t mean much since the offense can’t produce. Jags 14-Texans 24

San Diego Chargers (4-6) at Kansas City Chiefs (9-1)

The Chargers are horrid in freezing weather, but don’t be  shocked since Philip Rivers will try to bring his team back to take the #6 seed in the AFC. With that said, the Chiefs will have their first losing streak. Bolts 27-Chiefs 24

Carolina Panthers (7-3) at Miami Dolphins (5-5)

Cam Newton and the Panthers are currently riding a 6-game winning streak, including the big win last week against the Pats. How about we make that 7? Miami showed a heart beat after defeating the Chargers, but these cats have a more aggressive defense, that will carve up the depleted Fins offensive line. Panthers 34-Dolphins 17

Pittsburgh Steelers (4-6) at Cleveland Browns (4-6)

Two teams still in playoff contention, but the Steelers will go into Cleveland, and prove a statement. Steelers aren’t done quite yet! Steelers 27-Browns 10

Chicago Bears (6-4) at St. Louis Rams (4-6)

Josh McCown has proven that he can win as a starter for the Bears. They will try to keep up with the division leading Lions while they wait for the return of Jay Cutler. Bears 20-Rams14

New York Jets (5-5) at Baltimore Ravens (4-6)

The AFC teams at 5-5 and 4-6 will all be watching this game. With a Baltimore win, the race for the #6 seed may tighten up even more! Jets 17-Ravens 27

Tennessee Titans (4-6) at Oakland Raiders (4-6)

Riding a two game losing streak, the Titans could knock the Raiders off of playoff contention, or it could be the other way around when playing in the Black Hole. With a gutsy win against Houston, the Raiders(definitely did not think I would say this) will make a run at the #6 seed in the AFC. Titans 10-Raiders 20

Indianapolis Colts (7-3) at Arizona Cardinals (6-4)

The Cardinals have showed that they can be a threat in the NFC. Currently sitting at 6-4 and behind 6-4 San Francisco for the #6 seed, Cardinals will knock off Andrew Luck and the Colts. Look for a big game from the “Honey Badger”. Cards 24-Colts 20

Dallas Cowboys (5-5) at New York Giants (4-6)

New York started 0-6. Miraculously, they have made it up to 4-6. A win today, against a Cowboys team that is falling apart, the G-Men will be 1 game behind division rival, Philadelphia Eagles. ‘Boys 20-Giants 27

Denver Broncos (9-1) at New England Patriots (7-3)

The game we have all been waiting for this week. Denver, coming off a big win, Patriots coming off of a loss that let the Panthers make a statement. But I’ll go with the quarterback history here. Brady winning at 9-4. Let’s make it 10-4. Broncos 27-Pats 35

San Francisco 49ers (6-4) at Washington Redskins (3-7)

This MNF match-up is tricky. The 49ers are fighting for a playoff spot, while RGIII is trying to shut the critics down. I think ‘9ers reasoning will claim the victory. 49ers 17-Redskins 10
