Will the Padres keep Pat Murphy after the season is over?

It’s clear the San Diego Padres have not performed up to the standards that were set for them at the beginning of the year. Most of the blame this year has been put on Bud Black, now the Padres former manager. Since Bud Blacks firing, the padres have replaced him with an interim manager Pat Murphy. Murphy will be taking over for the rest of the year, the question is will he stay after the season ends? Personally as a fan of the Padres, I don’t see him staying because of his poor managing decisions, and repetitively over-aggressive play calls. I mean if you look at the Padres front office this year it has a totally different approach than it has in years past.

The front office wants to win, and win now. As of right now Pat Murphy doesn’t seem to be the right answer. He seems to much like Bud Black 2.0, which isn’t what the team needs, they need an aggressive manager who knows how to manage, calling up the Triple-A manager to be the big league manager seems to be a move that is only temporary, Preller is to aggressive and smart, he wants his own guy to lead his team!

So who takes over as manager of the Padres next year? A few names have been thrown around, Ron Washington is one of those names which makes a lot of sense considering he has previously worked the current Padres General Manager A.J. Preller. So who do you think the Padres will end up hiring next year? Do you think Pat Murphy will be back or will someone else become manager of the San Diego Padres?
