This weekend will mark a milestone in UFC history with Fight Night 33 being the first UFC event held in Australia. The UFC is really expanding their horizons with this event and next months fights in Singapore.  This event will be held in Brisbane Queensland Australia. Mark “The Super Samoan” Hunt will face Antonio “Big Foot” Silva. Both fighters are known for their heavy hands and knock out power.

This fight card is chalk full of potential knockouts! With Mauricio “Shogun” Rua facing  Australian native James Te Huna. Shogun is coming off two tough losses against Chael Sonnen and Alexander Gustafson, while Te Huna is trying to come back from a tough first round loss to Glover Teixeira back in May. Both fighters need a win to stay in the spotlight.

The night will also see Ryan Bader against Anthony “The Hippo” Perosh. Pat Berry faces off with Soa Paleie, Dylan Andrews vs. Clint Hester, and Julie Kedzie vs. Bethe Correia. In the prelims, we will see Ultimate Fighter alumni Nam Phan against Takeya Mitsugaki. Also, Nick Ring will battle it out against Caio Magalhaes in a middleweight war. These fights will be on Fox Sports 1, Friday December 6th.

Mark Hunt and Antonio Silva are both coming off losses by Knock out. Hunt lost to Junior Dos Santos by a stunning spinning hook kick to the head, while Silva lost to UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez in the first round. Silva is currently ranked #4 in the heavyweight division and Hunt doesn’t cracj the top 10. Both fighters hope to be put into title contention with a win, and both fighters will be looking to take the others head off with vicious striking.
