There wasn’t a lot that went on in college football this week, but what did happen was big. Firstly, in the Army vs. Navy game, Navy beat Army for the twelfth time in a row. The end score to their game was 34-7. The men that were on that field however, are fighting for the freedom of our country, so whoever won, it would have been a win overall. Secondly this week, Mack Brown, head coach of the Texas Longhorns, declared that after the Valero Alamo Bowl he will be resigning. Texas is scheduled to play Oregon in the bowl on December 30, 2013. Lastly, a 2013 Heisman Trophy winner has been announced! Jameis Winston the quarterback of Florida State has become the youngest recipient of the Heisman trophy. Winston is three weeks shy of his twentieth birthday. Winston won with an overwhelming victory having over 1800 more points than the runner up AJ McCarron from Alabama. Florida St will be competing against Auburn in the Vizio BCS National Championship Bowl. Winston threw for 3,820 yards and had 38 touchdowns this season, setting a few records as a freshman.
