The NBA may officially be Stephen Curry‘s league.

Curry, the defending Most Valuable Player Award winner, currently owns the fourth-greatest scoring stretch through three games to start a season in NBA history. In jaw-dropping fashion, Curry has scored 118 points in 99 minutes on 68 shots through those three games, dazzling crowds with his array of difficult shot-making, stunning passes and crossovers.

Step-back 3-pointers, shifting, drifting, behind-the-back passes – Curry has done it all in the first week of the NBA season. Curry is shooting 59 percent from the field, 49 percent from long range and 96 percent from the free-throw line. To add to this ridiculous resume, he is averaging 7.3 assists per game and 2.3 steals per game to go along with his 39.9 points per game average, which currently leads the league.

Heading into Monday night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Curry needs 46 points to become the player with the best scoring start to the season in NBA history. In the season opener against the New Orleans Pelicans, Curry became the first first player since 1999 with at least 40 points, five rebounds and five assists in a season opener. He finished with 40 points, seven assists and six rebounds in that game.

Against Houston on Oct. 30, Curry played just 27 minutes – but that didn’t stop him from being efficient – as he finished the game with 25 points on 9 of 15 shooting, seven rebounds, six assists and a steal. He shot 44 percent from beyond the arc and had just one turnover.

Against the Pelicans on Halloween, Curry proved to be too much again. In what became an ultimate highlight reel, Curry finished the game with 53 points on 63 percent shooting, 57 percent from 3-point territory and a perfect 11-for-11 from the charity stripe. He also had nine assists, four rebounds and four steals to go along with what was likely the best performance in the first week of the season. He did all of that in 36 minutes on a back-to-back on the road, too.

Right now, Curry is the league’s most unguardable player and it’s not even close.

In the season opener against New Orleans, Curry had 24 points in the first quarter. How did he top that? A routine 28 points in the third quarter against the Pelicans on Saturday, outscoring New Orleans by himself, 28-26.

Curry is breaking records a week into the NBA season, heck not even five games into the NBA season. The Warriors’ 3-0 start is much in part to Curry’s dominance, as they have outscored opponents by 40 points in Curry’s 99 minutes.

For us, it’s fun to watch. For opponents, it’s scary to stop.

Let’s watch some highlights from Curry this week, shall we?

While the season is still very young, at this rate Curry will be the first back-to-back MVP winner since LeBron James won in 2012 and 2013.

And if Curry continues to get better, if that’s even possible, watch out, NBA – the league will be his in no time.
