Real Madrid win as Cristiano Ronaldo gets his 300th Goal

Real Madrid went up against Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday night as well as they were able to secure two goals in the second half of the game and keep them alive in the run for La liga title. A score of 2-0 gave Real Madrid the win and with 70 points on the table, they sit four points behind first place FC Barcelona and five points ahead of Atletico Madrid. Real Madrid faced a very strong Rayo Vallecano and had trouble finding the net in the first half but a goal from Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez secured them the three points.

Cristiano Ronaldo got his 37th goal of the season and his 300th career goal with Real Madrid when he opened up the scoring for Real Madrid. Ronaldo was able to celebrate with teammates in the pitch as he set another goal for his team. James Rodriguez was also able to get his first goal since coming back from his foot injury he got back in January and also looked great on the field as he was able to create some great chances for his teammates but the finish was not there.

Ronaldo made it 1-0 game when a cross from Dani Carvajal from the right side of the field allowed Ronaldo to dive and connect the ball with his head to get it past goalkeeper David Cobeño.

James got the second goal of the match when a pass from Ronaldo allowed James to take a touch of the ball inside the box before curling the ball into the bottom left corner to make it 2-0.

The game ended with a score of 2-0 and this allows Real Madrid to stay in the run for La Liga title against Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona. The man of the match goes out to James Rodriguez who was a key player in today’s game, creating chances with this teammates and also finding the net to secure the win for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid will face Eibar on Saturday afternoon as they hope to continue the great run and put pressure on the Catalan team. Rayo Vallecano will face Celta de Vigo on Saturday night to stay in the top ten of La liga table.
