Northern Illinois got blown out by the Blowing Green Falcons tonight 27-47, as Lynch threw two inceptions on the night. The defense for the Huskies must had stayed in Illinois as they let up 584 totals yards. Freshmen Ronnie Moore of Blowing Green had a huge night tonight with 145 yards and 1 TD. Running Back Travis Greene also had a 100+ rushing night and a TD.

As for Jordan Lynch, he didn’t have such a good night after only recording one passing TD and threw two picks as mentioned above. As for rushing, he had 2 TD’s and 126 yards, but most of the blame for the night has to go to the head coach of the Huskies. Rod Carey allowed 584 total yards and attempted an onside kick in the 2nd quarter which he failed to convert on.

Now, instead of playing in the Tostitos Bowl game as they were projected to play in, they will land into a lower bowl. This also means that the MAC misses out on $8 million because they don’t have a team to represent them in a BCS game. This is Bowling Green’s first MAC Championship game appearance since ’03, which they lost to Miami(OH) RedHawks. This also ends Northern Illinois 25 straight wins in the MAC after tonight’s loss.
