Today the 2014 Pro Football Hall of Famers were chosen. The picks consisted of Michael Strahan, Derrick Brooks, Andre Reed, Walter Jones, Aeneas Williams, Ray Guy, and Claude Humphrey. There was some very noticeable players who didn’t make it like Jerome Bettis, Marvin Harrison, and John Lynch, but the one that was probably the most noticeable is Tim Brown. Brown played 17 years, 16 years with the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders and finishing his career with one year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Brown was probably one of the best players to play the game. He was a consistent and athletic wide receiver. In 17 years Brown accumulated 1,094 receptions, 14,934 yards, and 100 touchdowns, but still that was not enough to get Tim Brown in to the Hall Of Fame. Some people forget that Brown was also a Special Teams player, he returned kicks and punts and was very good at it also. Brown had a total of 3,320 yards with 326 attempts from punts and 1,235 from 49 attempts on kickoffs. Tim Brown did not make the Pro Football Hall Of Fame this year, but he should in the near future with his record setting stats.
