Saban has reportedly signed an extension that pays him $5.62 million a year and runs through the 2020 season, becoming the highest paid coach in college football. Now, since Nick Saban has decided to stay at Alabama that means he is no longer a prospect for the Texas head coaching position. In sis previous seven seasons, the Crimson Tide have gone 79-14 and have won three National Championships. The last six seasons, the Tide have gone 5-1 in bowl games, only losing to Utah in the Sugar Bowl in 2008. Alabama finished this season with a trip to New Orleans, LA to face the Oklahoma Sooners in the Sugar Bowl. Thursday night QB AJ McCarron said this jokingly

“I messed with Coach, (saying) he’s getting too old to start up again somewhere else. He told me he’s not leaving. And I know Miss Terry (Saban’s wife) well enough; she runs that house. And she’s not allowing Coach to leave either. I think he’ll be at the University of Alabama for a little while.”

Saban is going to start his new contract next season with the No. 1 Class Ranking recruits for another season.
