Brazil had zero difficulties in Brasilia on Monday, undressing Cameroon on a 4-1 victory. An opening strike from Neymar gave the host nation a 1-0 lead, but Cameroon’s Joel Matip would equalize just nine minutes later. Brazil, however proved to be too much for Cameroon. A brace from Neymar was followed by a second-half goals from Fred and Fernadinho.
With the victory, Brazil qualified for the round of 16 as group A winner. The deficit was only one at the break, but poor officiating gifted Brazil another goal after halftime. Fred, clearly was in offside when he headed a cross from Marcelo. The officials looked the other way, Cameroon had zero chance in a comeback from there.
Neymar was player of the match scoring 2 goals in the match making it four goals in all three matches, proving this team will only go as far as he can carry them.
