Alex Rodriguez returned to baseball this season after serving his season-long suspension in 2014 due to PEDs, of course everyone knows that. Well upon his rerun he was the hot topic during Spring Training, many critics and fans wondering if he will be dead weight in the Yankee lineup during the 2015 season or if he has some life left in his bat.

A-Rod has been making all the right moves so far. He is doing as Manager Girardi says, playing third base ever so often, holding down first base when called upon, and being penciled in as the everyday DH.

Once the regular season kicked off A-Rod has not looked back and has been tearing the cover off the ball. He is the lone bright spot in the sluggish Yankee offense early on in 2015. A-Rod has carried the Yankees offense. He’s hitting .344 with a 1.214 OPS, which stands out in an offense that’s hitting just .222 with a .712 OPS as a whole.

What he did yesterday against the Tampa Rays was simply impressive, 2 homers 4 ribbies, for someone who is coming close to 40-years old. He demolished the first homer that measured 477 ft, take a look for yourself.

While his second homer was a 2-run laser down the left field line to tie the game in the 6th.

Of course it will be tough for A-Rod to keep up his production throughout the entire season, his last productive full season came back in 2007. He will be able to produce for the Yankees at a rate that will allow him to win AL Come Back Player of the Year though. Yankee fans can expect a 2015 season where he hits 20+ home runs and about 70+ RBIs, if that happens then there will be no room to doubt him much longer.
