Sergio “Kun” Aguero in Superb Form

In the world of football, there are few players who are as efficient or as keen in front of the opposing team’s goal as Sergio “Kun” Aguero. The Argentinian striker has once again outdone himself, scoring all four of Manchester City’s goals in their 4 – 1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur. It only took Aguero 12 minutes after the match started to get on the score board.

The first goal for Kun and the first goal of the match came from a pass by Frank Lampard to Aguero, who was just a few yards outside of the left hand side of Hugo Lloris’ six yard box. Aguero took his time to test Younice Kaboul before cutting to his right and placing a right-footed shot that beat Lloris on the opposite post.

Aguero had his next goal in the 20th minute after Lampard was brought down inside of the 18-yard box and earned Manchester City a penalty kick. Aguero placed the shot to the bottom left of the goal after Lloris had lunged in the opposite direction. His third goal was also from a penalty that was placed in the exact same spot with the same response by Lloris in the 68th minute.

Aguero scored the final goal in the 75th after he caught up to a long through ball and cut into Spurs’ box once again. In a fashion similar to that of the first goal, Aguero then cut to his left side to beat Jan Vertonghen and place a shot with his left foot to the opposite post and past Hugo Lloris.

Aguero’s feat is not something that is done often. Even in matches against teams that could be considered “easy wins”, it is not often that a single player scores four goals in one match. Kun Aguero has now scored in each of the last four of Manchester City’s Premier League bouts. With efficiency like what we saw against Tottenham, it is no question that Sergio “Kun” Aguero will continue to be one of the Premier League’s most lethal strikers.
