NFL Week 10 Overview

week-10

WEEK 8 RECORD: 9-4

OVERALL RECORD: 79-52-2

BYE WEEKS: Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, Indianapolis Colts, Oakland Raiders

Due to an unusually hectic week, we have to publish a highly-abbreviated set of picks for Week 10. A quirk of scheduling has left us with just two divisional matchups for the week in Jacksonville and Arizona, but the matchups are no less important, with crunch matchups involving teams vying for contention.

Normal service will resume next week.

Editor’s note: Please take our word for it that our pick for Thursday’s game was in fact the Baltimore Ravens.

Notes

  • Drew Brees has a 6:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio at home, while Aqib Talib may be sidelined for a third straight week for the Broncos.
  • After giving up over 370 yards per game to start the season 1-5 with just 9 sacks, the Panthers have tightened up on defense since their Week 7 bye, and have racked up 12 sacks while winning two straight.
  • The Vikings began the season 5-0, but have now lost three straight since their bye, scoring just 12 points per game in those losses.
  • The blowout of the week might occur in Glendale, as a 49ers defense that has given up almost 430 yards per game so far faces David Johnson with his 139 all-purpose yards per game and the rest of the Cardinals’ high-octane offense.
  • This week’s Game of the Week? The traditional rivalry between the Cowboys and Steelers resumes with a touch of the old (Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown) vs. the new (Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott).
