NBA Eastern Conference 1st Round Recap

The first round of the NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs is over. There were no real upsets but certain teams did get quite a scare. Especially two favorites who started out with home losses in Game 1.

Bucks Sweep Scrappy Pistons 4-0

The Bucks made quick work of the Pistons, sweeping them in four games. Giannis Antetokounmpo was completely unstoppable. The MVP candidate looks to be a force to be reckoned with in these NBA Playoffs. Detroit just had no answer. The Bucks’ big man took over early in the series and there was simply no denying him.

Sixers Bounce Brooklyn 4-1

The Sixers fell down early in the series 0-1 before rattling off four straight. There was a lot of back and forth between the two teams but the Sixers got the last laugh. They removed the Nets from the NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs with a blowout in Game 5.

Raptors Overwhelm Magic 4-1

The Orlando Magic stunned the Raptors in Game 1 of their series. Kawhi Leonard and company regrouped and quickly escorted the out manned Magic in four straight beat-downs. This sets up a second round tilt with Philadelphia.

Celtics Rout Pacers 4-0

The Boston Celtics put on a defensive clinic in the first round of the NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs. The Pacers were shutdown by suffocating defense, while Kyrie Irving tortured them offensively. It was no surprise this series didn’t last long.
