Coming into Game 5 of the World Series, many thought it would be a low scoring game with Clayton Kershaw and Dallas Keuchel on the mound. However, this was not the case.

In the first inning, the Dodgers would attack Keuchel by scoring 3 runs on a two run single by Logan Forsythe and another run on a throwing error. The Dodgers would also score in the top of the fourth inning on an RBI single by Austin Barnes for a 4-0 lead.

After the RBI single, that would be the end of Dallas Keuchel. Keuchel went 3.2 innings, allowing 5 hits, 4 runs (3 earned), walking 2, and striking out 4 on 86 pitches.

If fans thought that the 5th inning was shocking, the 7th inning got even better. The Dodgers started in the top of the 7th with a great at bat from Justin Turner, who hit a double off of the wall. The next batter tried to bunt him over but failed, and Turner was tagged out. Cody Bellinger would end up hitting a single that turned into a RBI triple by a misplay by George Springer.

After giving up the lead, the Astros would answer again by hitting a home run on the first pitch by Springer. Alex Bregman reached on a single on the next pitch. After the single Altuve would hit a go-ahead RBI double and the inning would continue with a two run home run by Carlos Correa. The Astros ended up scoring 4 runs on just six pitches.

With the day off, the pitchers for Game 6 will surely need the rest. After a long and draining Game 5 in Houston, the series will take its final stop in Los Angeles, where the starting pitching match up should be good with Justin Verlander vs. Rich Hill on Halloween at 8:00 Eastern Time. This World Series has already broken the record for most home runs in a World Series with 22. The Astros have 14 of those, which is tied for the most by one team in a World Series. The 2017 postseason has seen 101 home runs, another Major League record.
