UEFA Champions League Round of 16 Predictions: Part 2

Part two of our four-part predictions for the Round of 16 UEFA Champions League kicks off on Wednesday as four really strong teams from four different parts of Europe meet up to see who advances to the Quarterfinals held later in the middle of April. These next two matches will be interesting to see how it all ends for two teams. Here are the predictions of part two brought to you by The AOSN:

First Leg Fixtures: Bayern Munich 0-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

Chelsea 1-1 Paris Saint-Germain

FC Bayern Munich vs. Shakhtar Donetsk

7:45 PM CET (12:45 PM PST) @ Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany

We cannot understand why Bayern Munich could not defeat Shakhtar in the first leg of the Round of 16 matchup. A team that has been dominating in the Bundesliga struggled against a team from Ukraine that has only caught attention recently. Bayern needs to find the magic or better say, the chemistry they have had, in order to advance to the quarterfinals of the Champions League, but I don’t see them struggling in the second leg. Bayern Munich should easily take this match and go on to the next round.

Final Score: Bayern Munich 3-0 Shakhtar Donetsk (agg. 3-0)

Chelsea FC vs. Paris Saint-Germain

7:45 PM CET (12:45 PM PST) @ Stamford Bridge, London, England

Two teams that have dominated in their league so far, they hope to continue to do the same in the Champions League playoff round when PSG and Chelsea meet up on Wednesday night. Both teams are in first place in their leagues; Chelsea dominated their group stage as PSG was put on second as they lost to Barcelona in the last match of the group stage. Though PSG has slowly been growing to become a strong team, this match will tell everyone that PSG is Champions League material. Even though it will be a tough match, I see Paris Saint-Germain winning the second leg and advancing to the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

Final Score: PSG 2-1 Chelsea (agg. 3-2)
