Ultimate Fighter season 18 winner Julianna Pena had to pull out of the upcoming UFC 171 pay per view due to a very bad injury. She wrote via twitter “I’m out of my March 15th fight in Dallas due to injury. I’ll make a full recovery. I apologize to all of my fans.” There was no shortage of tears.

Reportedly she tore her ACL, MCL, LCL, meniscus, and hamstring. This was due to extreme overaggressive training session, according to the outlet. She is supposed to be flying into Los Angeles next week for surgery and will get her prognosis soon after.

UFC president Dana White told the news, reacting to his fighters injury, “What happened to Julianna Pena at HER gym is the most disgusting thing heard, #10 ranked fighter and out for 2 years. . . unthinkable.” He also said that he believes she should look for a new training camp.

Pena was supposed to fight Jessica Andrade at UFC 171 Hendricks vs Lawler. After the news of Pena’s injury she was replaced with fellow TUF 18 cast member Raquel Pennington. Pena will have to wait some time before she can make her pay per view debut.
