NFL Week 4 Previews and Predictions, Part 1 (Thursday Game)

Thursday, September 25

New York Giants @  Washington Redskins

8:25 pm ET @ FedEx Field (CBS/NFLN)

The Giants just had their first win of the season against the Texans. Eli Manning and Victor Cruz have finally found a connection, hooking up for 5 receptions for 107 yards and  1 TD. Rashad Jennings ran for 176 yards on 34 carries, tallying 1 TD. Now, it’s all about consistency. Now, it’s only 3 games but it has been the story of Eli’s career. He’ll need to have trust in his receivers against one of the top defenses in the league.

The Redskins may have had a blessing in disguise when Robert Griffin III went down. Kirk Cousins put on a show in a loss against the Eagles. He threw for 427 yards and 3 TDs on 30 completions. This was without DeSean Jackson, too. They have the #2 offense and #4 defense but still have a 1-2 record. The one problem they have is finishing. Now, with Kirk at the helm, this may be more interesting against a Giants team that finally showed some life.

Fantasy Notes

Start ’em: Kirk Cousins, DeSean Jackson, Rashad Jennings

Sit ’em: Giants Defense/ST, Alfred Morris

Xandro’s Fearless Prediction: Defense will be everything. The Redskins defense will disrupt Manning and Giants offense. Captain Kirk will have a big game.

Final Score: Giants 17-Redskins 27
