Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles made all the right moves in what was surely a statement game against the Carolina Panthers. Turnovers were the name of the game, as the Eagles defense was able to secure 3 interceptions. The Panthers run game only produced a measly 80 yards most of which was picked up by quarterback Cam Newton. Blount would see the bulk of the carries and make good use. Carson Wentz continued to impress as he threw for 222 yards and 3 scores. The Eagles now sit at 5-1 a top not only the NFC East bit the entire conference. They have soul possession of first place, thanks to an outstanding division and conference record of 2-0 and 4-0 respectively.

A Look Ahead

The Eagles have a few extra days to prepare before they take on the Washington Redskins on Monday. Philadelphia has already beaten the Skins once this year so its no surprise the Eagles are an early 5 point favorite.

Washington Redskins

The Redskins held off the 49ers for a week 6 victory at home . Kurt Cousins was impressive, passing for 330 yards and 2 scores with just one interception. With the win the Skins were able to keep pace with the Philadelphia Eagles and remain in second place in the division.

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys had a bye this week but still were dealt a heavy blow. Running back Ezekiel Elliot‘s six game suspension has been reinstated. Without Zeke for a large part of the most crucial stretch of the season Dallas’ playoff hopes are slim.

A Look Ahead

Coming off the bye the Cowboys face a winless 49ers team. This should be a game Dallas should win, evident by the fact they are a 6 point road favorite.

New York Giants

The G-Men finally got in the win column thanks to a dominant win over Denver 23-10, and in doing so may have saved their coaches job. Orleans Darkwa was very impressive on the ground, as he picked up 117 yards on 21 carries. While they probably won’t make the playoffs they have still shown a lot of heart.

A Look Ahead

Coming up next on the schedule for New York is the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are coming off a bye and look to make quick work of the Giants even on the road. Seattle is a 5.5 favorite heading in to the match up.
