Fresh Start for Terrelle Pryor

Terrelle Pryor has had a rough start to his NFL career and now the Raiders are hoping to trade him. The moment the Raiders acquired Matt Schuab, we have been waiting to see what they would do with Pryor and instead of cutting him, the Raiders saw that they might be able to get something for him. He will be added as as a number two and or possible quarterback of the future dimension.

Teams: Carolina Panthers, Detroit Lions, St.Louis Rams, Chicago Bears
Carolina Panthers: The Panthers are a contending team in the NFL with their defense and are trying to build an offense to make their playoff run more than just a fluke. The offense is built around a key element and that is Cam Newton, which seems to be their star power right now. Even though the Panthers already have three QBs behind Cam, they might consider trading a late pick to add Pryor because if something were to happen to Cam, the offense would not change because the insanely close playing styles these two share.

Detroit Lions: This might surprise people but the Lions could bring in Pryor. They could use him in sub-packages and add another dimension to an already dynamic offense. Also, behind Stafford there really isn’t anything impressive and some insurance is always nice to have for a team trying to become dominate in their division.

St.Louis Rams: The Rams would be somewhere that Pryor will be able to sit in the wings and wait to see if he gets a chance to start. Sam Bradford is far from being a true starter in the league and this can be the year he’s jettisoned from the team. Even if the Rams just signed Shaun Hill, he is far from being a solution if Bradford falls through. The Rams could get a boost in the quarterback position and not have to spend an early draft pick on someone in the future in case they do want to replace Bradford.

Chicago Bears: The Bears are in one of the most open ended divisions in football and could use all the help they can get to put them on top. The loss of Josh McCown was a big hit, he was a huge help to the team when Jay Cutler went down. With Jay Cutler’s track record, they do need someone who can come in and start at any given time. Pryor would even be something new to the offense if Cutler goes down. It also helps that behind Cutler, no other QB has started a game in the league.
