Rich Hill was having a good start, but fell into trouble in the fifth inning, loading the bases with two outs. Brandon Morrow came into the game after allowing four runs in Game 5 of the World Series. This time, Morrow would dominate. He got the last out of the fifth and two outs in the sixth while only throwing 14 pitches. After Morrow, Tony Watson would come into the game and get the key out with runners on 1st and 2nd base. The next pitcher would be Kenta Maeda, who went just an inning but with runners on 1st and 3rd, he would get Jose Altuve to end the inning. To rap up the dominant pitching performance, Kenley Jansen entered in the eighth inning and closed out the door to force a Game 7.

Through the first five innings, Justin Verlander was lights out, only allowing 1 hit and no walks while striking out 9. But the Dodgers got to him in the sixth when Austin Barnes started the inning off with a single, then Chase Utley got hit by a pitch. With runners on first and second, Chris Taylor hit a RBI double down the right field line. Verlander would get out of the jam after Corey Seager hit a sacrifice fly to make the score 2-1. Verlander’s final line is 6 innings pitched, 3 hits, 2 runs, and 9 strikeouts on 94 total pitches.

In Game 5, the Astros got the clutch hits. In Game 6, the Astros would go 0-6 with runners in scoring position and left 8 runners on base for the game. If the Astros want a shot to beat the Dodgers in Game 7, they are going to have to hit with runners on base. If they do not, the Dodgers will win the World Series.

Game 7!

With all the momentum on the Astros’ side after a walk off win at home with their ace on the mound in Game 6, now heading into Game 7, the momentum has switched to the Dodgers’ favor. The Dodgers are at home for their first ever World Series Game 7 in Los Angeles and have a bullpen that looked like themselves in Game 6. Lance McCullers Jr. and Yu Darvish will start Game 7 and all fans know Clayton Kershaw will be in the mix out of the bullpen.

Who has the Advantage?

Baseball fans were amazed at last year’s World Series, but the 2017 World Series has been better. Game 7 in Los Angeles should make the series even more talked about. This Series has already set the home run record. With one game left in the 2017 MLB season, who will win and who will loose? The edge has to go with the Dodgers at this point.
