Chelsea Takes the London Derby at Upton Park

After crowning themselves Capital One Champions, Chelsea with one game less, had to visit West Ham to seek some points to continue as leaders.

Minute 22′, Eden Hazard scored the only goal of the match to seal the victory for the Blues off of a cross from Ramires inside the box. Hazard sneaked in and took advantage of the fact that none of the center backs marked him and simply made contact with his head.

Chelsea continued to possess the ball well, but was not a threat.

With this result, Chelsea continue leading the Premier League with 63 points, 5 points ahead of Manchester City, but one game less on their record. West Ham with the defeat dropped from 9th to 10th place. Chelsea will take on Southampton at Stamford Bridge next and West Ham will visit Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal.
