Bale in Doubt for Second leg?

Real Madrid may have to face Borussia Dortmound later this week without Gareth Bale on the wing. The young winger needed two stiches to close up a cut on his knee which he received during the 4-0 win over Real Sociedad on Saturday. There are no reports on how long Bale will be out or if he’ll be able to play the second leg of the Champions League  quarter finals. Real Madrid travels to Signal Iduna Park later this week hoping they can secure their spot in the semifinals of the Champions League. They have a 3-0 lead over BVB but I wouldn’t be comfortable with that. BVB can always come back, especially with Lewandowski playing the second leg. Gareth Bale’s record 91 million euro move to the Spanish capital sparked different responses, some happy and some questioning if he is worth that much. A lot of pressure was placed on his arrival but he has been able to adapt quite well to the squad. Sometimes it’s not easy changing from a solo star to being a part of the team. His stats speak for themselves with him being the only player in La Liga to have scored and assisted 15 goals in all competitions this season, according to Opta Jose. According to Squawka Football, he has scored 5 goals in the Champions League this season from just 7 shots on target. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89aIVKE6ILU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXvpdSyTRNk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Co0FBGBjodA Bale’s injury could have an even greater impact on Real Madrid with Jese still out from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Even if the Welsh star were to be absent, their is still Karim Benzema, Angel Di Maria, Alvaro Morata, or Isco who can more than likely fill in that wing. Madrid fans are hoping that the injury isn’t that serious so Bale may return and hopefully help Real Madrid win the Champions League and La Liga. Take Our Poll
